Lucid Motors has announced that the first Gravity SUV has been produced at its facility in Casa Grande, Arizona, as shared in a post on X. The company is now focusing on increasing production and preparing for the vehicle's launch, though it has not specified when the first deliveries will take place.
The Gravity SUV marks a significant moment for Lucid, which hopes this model will outperform its Air sedan in terms of market success. The Air has struggled to meet initial sales expectations, though recent quarters have shown improvement. Despite this, Lucid has repeatedly sought financial support from its majority stakeholder, Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, to ensure stability through the Gravity’s production phase.
The Gravity’s initial Grand Touring model starts at $94,900, offering a range of over 440 miles per charge. Powered by dual electric motors, one at the front and one at the rear, it delivers 828 horsepower. The standard configuration includes two rows of seats, with an option for three.
A more affordable version, priced at $79,900, is expected to begin production in late 2025.
